Criminal Procedure (Identity) Bill, 2022 in Lok Sabha

  • Union Home Minister Amit Shah introduced the Criminal Procedure (Identity) Bill, 2022 in the Lok Sabha on March 28, 2022.   • Union Cabinet approved National Land Monetization Corporation (NLMC) set up on March 9, 2022. The Corporation will be set up as a wholly owned Government of India Company with an initial authorized share capital of Rs. 5,000 crores.

Central government will reduce the disturbed areas in Assam, Nagaland and Manipur

  • The central government has decided to de-escalate the disturbed areas under the AFSPA Act in Nagaland, Assam and Manipur after decades. AFPSA will be completely removed from 23 districts of Assam and partially from one district from April 1.

DA of central government employees increased by 3 percent

  • Dearness Allowance for Central Government employees has been increased to 34 per cent of the basic pay from the existing 31 per cent. Dearness Allowance is the cost that the government pays to its employees.
