King Charles III of Great Britain ascends the throne.

King Charles III ascended the United Kingdom’s throne after Queen Elizabeth II’s death. On Saturday, 73-year-old Prince Charles ascended the throne as king and took the throne as the new monarch of England.

World Dairy Summit 2022

The World Dairy Summit of the International Dairy Federation was held in India from September 12 to 15, 2022, after a very long period of 48 years. According to the statement issued by the PMO, the last time the summit was held in the country was World Dairy. Almost half a century ago, in 1974. The summit was organized in Greater Noida and was the most significant global event for the dairy industry.

Volker Turk is the new UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres appointed Volker Turk as High Commissioner for Human Rights. Volker Turk is 57 years old and has spent most of his career within the United Nations system. The Turks have worked closely with Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, especially on refugees.

India will assume the presidency of the G20

India will assume one year of the presidency of the G20 from December 1, 2022, to November 30, 2023. It is also expected to host over 200 meetings during its presidential term. The G20 summit is scheduled for September 9-10, 2023.

Kibithu military camp near LAC is named after General Bipin Rawat.

The major military outpost of Kibithu was named after General Bipin Rawat, India’s first Chief of Defense Staff. He commanded his 5/11 Gorkha Rifles battalion at Kibithu as a young colonel from 1999 to 2000 and contributed immensely to strengthening the security infrastructure in the area. Kibithu is located near the LAC and is the easternmost military post in India.

India’s first Electronic Bank Guarantee (e-BG)

HDFC Bank has become the first bank in India to issue Electronic Bank Guarantee (e-BG) in partnership with National e-Governance Services Limited (NESL). The electronic bank guarantee eliminates the physical documentation attached to the bank guarantee and becomes available digitally to the beneficiary.

The Union Cabinet approved the list of certain castes of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh in the list of tribes. Vinesh Phogat won the bronze medal in the 2022 World Wrestling Championships in the women’s 53kg category. She has become the first Indian fighter to win two medals at the World Championships. Vinesh Phogat is also the first Indian female wrestler to win a gold medal at the Asian and Commonwealth Games.

India’s first lithium cell manufacturing plant

The Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, Shri Rajiv Chandrasekhar, will launch the pre-production phase of India’s first lithium cell manufacturing facility at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The state-of-the-art facility has been set up with an outlay of Rs. 165 crores by Chennai-based Munoth Industries Ltd.

India’s first commercial satellite broadband service

Hughes Communications India (HCI), in collaboration with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), has officially launched India’s first High-Performance Satellite (HTS) broadband internet service. HTS increases efficiencies using the same amount of orbital spectrum while reducing cost per bit.
