The recruitment rallies will be organized to fill up 2450 vacant positions of Assam Police Constables for the newly established Assam Commando Battalions, in of the Pay Scale of Rs. 14000-60500/- with Grade pay of 5600/(Pay Band-II) (Pay Band II) and other benefits in the range of permissible following the rules. The date and location of Physical Standard Test / Physical Efficiency Test is announced at the earliest opportunity via SMS, email, and other methods. Other means and through the SLPRB website (www.slprbassam.in). Online Applications will be accepted beginning on the 13th of December, 2021. The last day for submission of The deadline for applications is 12-01-2022.

Eligibility

Physical Standards:

  • Height (Minimum)
  • General: Male & Transgender-167 cm, Female-162 cm
  • OBC/ MOBC/ SC: Male & Transgender-162 cm, Female-157 cm
  • ST(H)/ST(P)/Gorkha: Male & Transgender-160.2 cm, Female-152.40 cm

Chest (Only for Male & Transgender):

  • To be used with Gen/OBC/MOBC/SC /ST(P) etc. Standard-85 Cm and Expanded-90 Cm.
  • For ST(H): Normal-80 Cm, Expanded-85 Cm

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

  • No T.A./D.A. will be granted to candidates to travel and for any time of the selection process. The list of choices does not grant entitlement to an appointment until an agency is confident of the candidate’s ability following an extensive medical exam and any other inquiry and confirmation as is essential before an appointment to the post or service.
  • Candidates are required to attend every stage of the recruitment process. If a candidate fails to appear from any event or stage, the candidate’s candidature will be canceled.
  • The candidate may be dismissed at any time during the process of recruitment for not being in line with the official format/not having the correct details/incomplete requisite certificates, or misrepresentation of facts or impersonation.
  • A selected candidate must be a part of and work in the Districts or units within the State of Assam. The district from which the candidate is selected is not connected with their place of work.
  • Persons appointed are eligible for pension benefits under the pension scheme in force at the time of appointment.
  • The candidates selected will be required to complete basic police training in a location and at the time determined by the authority in charge. The duration of training can extend by the appropriate authority. Suppose a candidate is unable to finish basic training in three attempts or was found to be unsuitable for the position in any way during the time of the training/probation period. In that case, the candidate is discharged from service.
  • These tests will be tough, and those physically fit and healthy must take the test. Assam Police will not be accountable for any.
  • Injuries or accidents sustained by a candidate while taking the examinations due to any existing medical condition.
  • Fake documents/ false information/ misrepresentation of facts shall lead to rejection when detected at any stage before or after selection/appointment and shall make the candidate liable to the criminal proceeding.
  • Appointees will be required to agree to a contract in which the individual must serve for at least three (three) years following the time they were assigned or when they fail to reimburse the costs of training and travel expenses paid from the state.
  • The final appointment, following selection, is contingent upon a satisfying Police Verification Report and Final Medical Examination Report as per the current norms. If a Police Verification Report or Final Medical Examination Report is not satisfactory, candidates’ candidatures of these applicants will be withdrawn completely.
  • The rules and rules, regulations, terms and conditions of training, and later on, will be applicable in the manner prevalent within the department.
