BJP Captures Adampur, RJD Mokama; Tough competition from regional parties in other places

2022 Assembly Poll Results Live Updates: Adampur in Haryana, Mokama and Gopalganj in Bihar, Andheri (East) in Maharashtra, Munugode in Telangana, Gola Gokarnath in Uttar Pradesh, and Dhamnagar in Odisha are the seven constituencies where the vote was held on November 3.

 In the Adampur assembly by-elections, the BJP candidate Bhavya Bishnoi won by a significant margin of 16,606 votes. Vote counting is underway in by-elections to seven assembly seats in six states, with the BJP now leading by three seats, while the RJD is poised to win Mokama’s seat in Bihar. BJP’s Aman Giri leads in the Gola Gokarnath seat, while Sena’s Rutuja Latte from Andheri (East), led by Uddhav Thackeray, BJP’s Kusum Devi from Gopalganj, RJD’s Neelam Devi from Mokama, BJP’s Suryavanshi Suraj from Dhamnagar and Kusukuntala Prabhakar Reddy of TRS lead. Most of the seats saw a tough fight between the BJP and regional parties like the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Samajwadi Party (SP), and Biju Janata Dal (BJD). Of the seven seats where secondary votes were held, the BJP had three, the Congress had two, while the Shiv Sena and RJD had one seat each.

The Adampur by-election had to take place after former MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi resigned from the assembly in August to leave Congress and switch to the BJP. The election was contested in Andheri East due to the untimely death of Shiv Sena MLA Ramesh Latke. Mokama’s seat in Bihar was left vacant after MLA Anant Singh was fired over his conviction in a criminal case. Due to the death of BJP MLA Subhash Singh, he too had to take part in the elections in Gopalganj, Bihar. The by-election in Munugode was held after MLA Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy resigned on August 2. The by-election for the Gola Gokarnath assembly seat in the Lakhimpur Kheri district was held after the death of incumbent MLA Arvind Giri. Andheri (East): Rutuja Latke got 58,875 votes at the end of the 16th round.

When the 16th round of counting ended in Andheri (East), the total number of votes polled by Uddhav Thackeray’s Rutuja Latke of Sean reached 58,875. The note has received 11,569 so far.

BJP candidate Bhavya Bishnoi wins from Adampur

The family of former Haryana Prime Minister Bhajan Lal continued their legacy of winning the Adampur constituency, which they had never lost since 1968. On Sunday, Bhajan Lal’s grandson Bhavya Bishnoi won the Adampur constituency by a significant margin of 16,606 votes.

The by-election to this seat was held due to his father’s resignation, Kuldeep Bishnoi, from the assembly. Two-time MP and four-time MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi resigned from the Congress and joined the BJP in August.

Andheri (East): Rutuja Latte continues her leadership

When the 14th round of counting votes in Andheri (East) ended, the total number of votes polled by Rutuja Latke of Sean under the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray reached 52,507. The note has received 10,284 so far.

Only BJP can fight TRS: BJP MP K Laxman

While TRS candidate Kusukuntala Prabhakar Reddy is leading in Telangana’s Munugode, BJP MP K Laxman alleged on Sunday: “TRS also conspired to count, it got exposed. When BJP is leading in the first 3-4 rounds, so they didn’t do it. Posted immediately on the official website. While round updates of other seats were being given.”

He further said, “The situation is different in Telangana. The state government has made this election a matter of prestige as BJP is growing here. Only BJP can fight TRS. I hope BJP will win in the last round of counting. “. ” There will be a BJP wave in the state in the next few days.”

Munugode: TRS leading by 1500 votes

In Munugode, the ruling TRS leads by over 1500 votes after six rounds.

Stating that she was confident of Rutuja Latte’s victory in Andheri (East), Shiv Sena leader Neelam Gore alleged that the BJP had to withdraw its official candidate Murji Patel as he was controversial. He also doubts that the BJP has transferred its voting share to NOTA.

Senior Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat said Rutuja Latke’s leadership underlined the growing disenchantment among the people against the Shinde-Fadnavis government.

RJD retains Mokama in assembly by-elections

On Sunday, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) retained Bihar’s Mokama assembly seat in the required secondary vote due to the disqualification of its MLA, Anant Kumar Singh.

Singh’s wife, Neelam Devi, the party’s candidate, defeated her nearest rival, the BJP, by a comfortable margin of over 16,000 votes. He got 79,744 votes, while BJP’s Sonam Devi got 63,003 votes.

Singh was disqualified in July this year after a Patna court convicted him in a case related to the recovery of arms and explosives from his residence. (PTI)

Dhamnagar: Suryavanshi Suraj leading by 22495 votes

As the counting of votes for the Dhamnagar bypoll is progressing, BJP’s Suryavanshi Suraj is leading in the assembly seat with a total of 22,495 votes.
