Cobra Warrior 2022: IAF to participate in multi-nation Air Exercise
CoBRA Yoddha Exercise 2022 will be conducted from March 6-27, 2022. Five indigenous LCA Tejas fighter aircraft will participate in the exercise and one C-17 aircraft will provide transport support.

Cobra Warrior 2022: The Indian Air Force will participate in a multi-nation air exercise titled ‘Ex Cobra Warrior 22’ at the Royal Air Force Base in Waddington, United Kingdom.
The CoBRA Yoddha exercise will be conducted from March 6-27, 2022. Five indigenous LCA Tejas fighter aircraft will participate in the exercise and one C-17 aircraft will provide transport support.
IAF jets will participate in the exercise along with fighter jets from the UK and other major air forces.

Cobra Warrior Exercise 2022 objective
The objective of the Cobra Warrior exercise is to provide operational performance and share best practices among the participating Air Force.
This will help in enhancing the combat capability and forging bonds of friendship among the participating Air Forces.
This exercise will serve as a platform for LCA Tejas to showcase its mobility and operational capability.
Cobra Warrior Exercise
- The Cobra Warrior exercise is one of the largest annual Royal Air Force exercises and aims to train both pilots and other air experts in planning and executing complex aerial missions.
- The Indian Tejas jet will be deployed at RAF Waddington Airbase.
- The exercise will include air-to-air operations such as aircraft interceptions and mock dogfights and simulated ground strikes.
- This will be the first visit of LCA-Tejas in an international air exercise.
Background
The Tejas Squadron of the Indian Air Force recently completed its maiden outing at the Singapore Air Show.
Three LCA-Tejas jets flew over 3000 km with 3 external drop tanks non-stop to Singapore for the air show.
It demonstrates the long-range ferry capabilities of the small jet.
