RBI’s Monetary Policy Committee has projected India’s real GDP growth rate to be 7.2% in the financial year 2022-23. The committee has voted for the 11th time in a row to keep the repo and reverse repo rates unchanged at 4 per cent. CPI inflation is now projected at 5.7% in 2022-23, 6.3 percent in Q1, 5.8% in Q2, 5.4% in Q3 and 5.1 percent in Q4.

The Federal Affairs Ministry of India and Nepal signed three MoUs for the construction of school, health post and irrigation projects in Nepal. MoU was signed with Duhun Rural Municipality, Darchula for construction of Janbikash Secondary School. The second MoU was signed with Naugarh Rural Municipality, Darchula for the construction of Earcot Health Post Building. The third agreement was signed with Galchi Rural Municipality, Dhading for the Maheshfat Irrigation Project.

A two-month ceasefire in the Yemen conflict was announced from April 2, 2022, at the initiative of UNSG Special Envoy Hans Grundberg. India welcomed the announcement and expressed hope that the ceasefire would lead to an inclusive political process to end the eight-year conflict in Yemen.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has reinstated the National Assembly and declared unconstitutional Imran Khan’s decision to advise the President to dissolve the National Assembly, ruling that he is bound by the Constitution and therefore taking such action. Can’t recommend doing. The court also overruled the deputy speaker’s decision, which rejected the no-confidence motion against the Imran Khan government and directed the holding of a meeting of the National Assembly on April 9 at 10 am for a no-confidence vote.
5. (a) Delhi
Delhi Government has constituted ‘Rural Development Board’ for the development of rural area of Delhi. This time a budget of Rs 200 crore has been allocated for the board. Delhi Minister Gopal Rai said that a special plan has been made with the officials to expedite its projects.
6. (a) $50 billion
India’s agricultural exports touched an all-time high in the fiscal year 2022, crossing $50 billion. According to provisional data provided by the Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics, agricultural exports grew 19.92 percent to $50.21 billion in the fiscal year. (DGCI&S).
7. (b) April 10
The Ministry of Health announced on April 8, 2022 that the COVID-19 booster dose will now be available to all adults over the age of 18 from April 10. For people over 18, a booster dose will be available at private immunization centres. The latest decision has been taken in light of the possibility of a fourth wave of the pandemic in the country in the coming months.
