International Olympic Day is celebrated on June 23 worldwide to celebrate health, sport, and coexistence. For the past two decades, Olympic Day has often been associated with Olympic Day, which is celebrated worldwide. The theme of International Olympic Day 2022 was “Together, for a world in peace.”

2. (a) Ministry of Commerce and Industry
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new Ministry of Commerce and Industry campus called ‘Varishyam Bhawan.’ On the occasion, Prime Minister Modi also launched the ‘Niryat’ portal. Vanaijya Bhawan is built near India Gate and is designed as a smart building that incorporates the principles of sustainable architecture with a special focus on energy saving.

Indonesia will soon begin offering a visa that will allow remote workers to live tax-free as long as their earnings come from outside the country. Indonesia announced the first five-year ‘Digital Nomad Visa’ in June 2022. The move will attract 3.6 million foreign travelers and create one million jobs for Indonesians.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Germany on June 26-27 as a special guest at the G7 summit. The Prime Minister will visit the German seaside resort of Schloss Elmau at the invitation of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for the G7 summit. On the sidelines of the G7 summit, the Prime Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of some of the participating countries.

Hockey India has named an 18-member Indian women’s hockey team for the prestigious 2022 Commonwealth Games, which is scheduled to kick off on July 28 in Birmingham, England. Savita will captain the team, and the vice-captain will be experienced defender Deep Grace Ekka.

China will host the 14th BRICS summit. The BRICS Summit will be held in a virtual format under the banner Usher, promoting high-quality BRICS partnerships in a new era of global development. Chinese President Xi Jinping will chair a high-level dialogue on global development with invited countries on June 24, 2022.

A group of scientists formed against the threat of COVID-19 has declared the monkeypox outbreak a public health emergency of global importance. The WHO’s designation of monkeypox as a public health emergency indicates that the outbreak is not limited to a single country or region and must be addressed with immediate measures to prevent community transmission.
