ISRO Young Scientist Program 2022: Registrations, Eligibility, Important Dates & Objective

ISRO Young Scientist Program 2022 Registration: Indian Space Research Organization is inviting applications for its two-week residential programme, Young Scientist Program Yuvika 2022. ISRO’s Yuvika 2022 program aims to provide basic knowledge on space technology, space science and space applications to young students, especially students from rural areas. ,

ISRO’s Young Scientist program for school children aims to create awareness among students about the emerging trends in science and technology. The event will be held for two weeks during the summer vacations.

The registration deadline is April 10, 2022 at 4 PM. All the students who want to be part of Yuvika 2022 program must apply online before the scheduled deadline.

ISRO Young Scientist Program 2022 Objectives

ISRO’s Young Scientist Program 2022 aims to encourage more and more students to pursue Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) based research/careers. The program is designed to ‘catch them young’.

Yuvika 2022 Period

Yuvika Program 2022 will be conducted during summer vacations and will be of two weeks duration from May 16-28, 2022.

Yuvika 2022 Schedule, Activities

Yuvika 2022 schedule will include interactions, laboratory visits, experimental demonstrations, special sessions for discussion with experts and practical and feedback sessions by eminent scientists.

Yuvika Program At the end of 2022, the students will be taken to visit the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.

All the travel and lodging expenses of the selected students during the entire course will be borne by ISRO.

Yuvika 2022 Registration

The ISRO Yuvika Program 2022 registration process consists of four stages. All candidates must complete all four steps to complete their registration for the programme, incomplete applications will not be considered.

Yuvika Program 2022 Registration Phase

Phase 1- Email Registration for Young Scientist Program 2022

step 2- Appear in the online quiz within 48 hours of email registration. ,Click on this link to participate in the quiz,

step 3- Visit Yuvika Portal and Login within 60 Minutes of Quiz submission and fill the required information without any error. Submit the online form and download it after submission.

step 4- Upload the signed copy of the form along with all the required certificates before the registration deadline.

ISRO Young Scientist Program 2022 Important Dates

Beginning of registration: 10.30 am on March 10

End of registration: 10th April 2022 at 4 PM.

The provisional list of selected candidates for Young Scientist Program 2022 will be declared on 20th April.

Yuvika Program 2022 Eligibility

Yuvika Program 2022 will select a total of 150 students from across the country, who are studying in class 9th till March 1, 2022.

The student selection will be based on the following parameters:

-Class VIII Marks

-Online Quiz Demonstration

– Participation in science fair in last 3 years

-Awards in Science Competitions/Olympiads and equivalent 1-3 ranks in last 3 years in school

– Winner of school sports competition in last three years.

– Member of NCC/NSS in the last three years.

Special weightage will be given to the students studying in a school located in the Panchayat area.

Yuvika Program 2022 locations are planned at 5 ISRO centres:

1. Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC), Thiruvananthapuram

2. UR Rao Satellite Center (URSC), Bangalore

3. Space Application Center (SAC), Ahmedabad

4. National Remote Sensing Center (NRSC), Hyderabad

5. North East Space Applications Center (NE-SAC), Shillong
