The results of JEE Main 2022 session 1 are awaited. Although the National Testing Agency (NTA) has not announced the JEE Mains result, or the date and time for it, candidates now have access to their response sheets and answer keys. After the result of JEE Advanced, Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JOSA) and Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) conduct counseling for IIT, NIT, IIIT admissions. Below are some important information about these counseling procedures that JEE aspirants must know.

JEE Main Result: Difference Between JoSAA and CSAB Counseling

JoSAA is responsible for conducting IIT admissions and counseling for the NIT+ system (which includes NITs, IIITs, etc.). CSAB conducts the counseling for NIT+ system.

As seen last year, the seat allotment process through JoSAA consists of 6 rounds. Thereafter, CSAB will conduct two special counseling rounds for the remaining seats under the NIT+ system.

Further, for allotment of seats to candidates from North-Eastern States and Union Territories under the scheme “Reservation of seats in degree level technical courses for States/UTs lacking such facilities in AICTE-approved institutions”. CSAB-NEUT rounds will be conducted by CSAB. ,
