Filmmaker Karan Johar will host the next three episodes of the popular reality series “Bigg Boss 16” as superstar Salman Khan is not keeping well, a source close to the show said on Saturday.

Salman reportedly has dengue, and Karan temporarily took over hosting Color Channel’s long-running show.

“Salman’s team has informed us that he is not feeling well. He did not come to film this Thursday. He usually shoots the episodes of ‘Weekend Ka Vaar,’ Friday and Saturday, on the same Thursday.

“Salman will be replaced by Karan Johar. He will be shooting for three episodes for ‘Bigg Boss’, including the Diwali special, which will air on Mondays apart from the episodes on Saturday and Sunday,” the source told PTI.

The source added, “The ‘Bigg Boss’ team will announce that ‘Salman is not feeling well and Johar has taken over the hosting duties in his place in the show’s latest episode, which airs on Saturday night.

Salman, who has been hosting “Bigg Boss” since 2010, and his team were not available to comment on reports that he had contracted dengue fever.

Season 16 of ‘Bigg Boss’ premiered on October 1 on Colors channel.
