The Oklahoma Sooners could be wrong. The Texas Longhorns destroyed him in the 2022 edition of Red River Showdown.

311: The last time Oklahoma shut out was November 7, 1998. Saturday’s loss ended 311 consecutive games without a score for Oklahoma. Texas last kicked out Oklahoma in 1965.

167: Oklahoma made offensive touchdowns in 167 straight games. It was the longest active streak on FBS. This is a far cry from the offensive power of the OU in previous years. Two Heisman Trophy-winning QBs were from the Sooners in the last six years.

1945: Saturday’s loss was the worst in OU history. It replaced a 47–0 defeat to Oklahoma State in 1945.

The Texas offense racked up 595 yards in the OU defense, while the Texas defense restricted the Sooners to just 195 yards.

267: Longhorns star Bijan Robinson has accumulated 267 yards and three touchdowns in Oklahoma over the past two seasons. I was 130 on Saturday and had plenty of room to run. Of those 130 yards, 86 came before contact.

9: Evers faced some heat from the Sooners. Of his 33 pullbacks, only nine were put under pressure. He completed 7 of 8 passes against the force of 67 yards and a TD. With plenty of time to throw, Evers was able to throw downfield. Evers was 9-for-14 on a pass throwing ten or more yards downfield for 168 yards and three touchdowns. It is tied for a Texas QB’s sixth most completions in a game over the past ten seasons.

2014: Texas’s Defense was outstanding. It was the first time since 2014 that OU remained below 250 yards. Sooners completed just nine passes for 39 yards. He had 32 at halftime, the lowest since 2014. That was also Lincoln Riley was hired to run OU’s offense. The Longhorns had three sacks on Saturday and intercepted two passes.

3-3: Oklahoma’s worst six-game record since 2009. Three consecutive losing games are the longest streak for the Sooners since 1998. The Sooners would lose five in a row that season, the last time that OU finished under 500.
