NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope will return its first full-color images and spectroscopic data on July 12, 2022. The telescope is the largest and most complex observatory ever in built-in space. NASA launched it in partnership with ESA (European Space Agency) and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) on December 25, 2021. Before scientific work began, the telescope underwent six months of preparation, during which it calibrated its instruments in its space environment and aligned its mirrors.

Rajesh Gera took over as Director-General of the National Center for Informatics (NIC) on May 31, 2022. He previously served as Deputy Director General at NIC. He has been associated with NIC for over 31 years. Rajesh Gera previously led several major divisions at NIC, including the Satellite Network Division, Video Conferencing Division, and Aadhaar Authentication Division.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced on June 1, 2022, that a caste-based enumeration would take place instead of a census in Bihar to avoid any conflict. After the all-party meeting on the caste census, the caste-based census in Bihar was announced. The Chief Minister also said that all parties, including the BJP, have agreed to conduct a caste-based census in one of India’s largest states.`
