Indian startup wins 2021 Prince William’s Earthshot award
Takachar, directed by Vidyut Mohan, won the first Earthshot prize of £1 million for Prince William. The Indian recycling company was announced as the winner of an award in the category “Clean our air” for its affordable technological innovation to convert crop residues into salable bio-products.
China launches Shenzhou-13 spacecraft
The Shenzhou-13 spacecraft was successfully launched by China with three astronauts, two men and one woman. The spacecraft is on a historic 6-month-long mission and is set to set a new record for the amount of time a Chinese astronaut spends in space.

T20 World Cup Schedule
The full schedule of the T20 World Cup was published by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in August 2021. India crosses Rs 100 crore vaccination mark
India achieved a milestone on October 21, 2021 by delivering over 100 crore doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. The achievement of 100 billion doses also led to the unfurling of the largest national flag at the Red Fort. Its weight was about 1,400 kg. The only other country in the world that has exceeded Rs 10 crore vaccine dose is China apart from India.
Sandra Mason is the first President of Barbados
Sandra Mason has become the first female President of Barbados by winning two-thirds of the vote during a joint session of the country’s House of Assembly and Senate. It would replace Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain as head of state for Barbados, ending the monarchy and removing Barbados from its colonial past.
