Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has been given additional charge of the Ministry of AYUSH. This happened after the hospitalization and treatment of AYUSH Minister Shripad Naik after a serious road accident. This arrangement will continue till Naik resumes his work related to the Ministry of AYUSH.

The Gujarat state government has decided to name the dragon fruit as “Kamalam”, which means lotus in Sanskrit. The nomenclature is made as the outer shape of the fruit which resembles a lotus.

Sri Lankan bowling legend Lasith Malinga has decided to retire from franchise cricket. He was part of the Mumbai Indians franchise in the Indian Premier League. The fast bowler made the Mumbai Indians management aware of his decision earlier this month, leaving him unavailable for the champion’s wish list.

Injured Team India created history by beating Australia by three wickets in the fourth and final Test at The Gabba on 19 January 2021 and retaining the prestigious Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India won the series 2–1. It was Australia’s first defeat in their stronghold The Gabba in 32 years.
